To Whom It May Concern,
I'm just writing to let everyone know that I've just had the worst customer service experience of my life from this so-called company...
What is the World coming too...
My partner and I had a fantastic engagement party on the 16th Feb 08 and unfortunately for us we hired 60 or so chairs and some 2.4m tables from PARTY PLUS ROCKINGHAM. When my partner first rang for prices and so-fourth they were nice to him over the phone because they new they had a chance of getting some money out of us. At the end of the deal just before our $140 was taken out of the credit card we were asked if we wanted it delivered for $33 or did we want to pick them up. As we were already over budget for the party and he has a large trailer we decided not too. But at no stage during the phonecall did she/he say that my partner would be left to lift, move and carry every piece of furniture all by myself himself!! When my partner when down by himself as I was occupied at home he was left to load the trailer with all the gear by himself while the staff at Party Plus in Rockingham watched. When we returned the gear I went to the front counter and asked if I may have some help with THEIR furniture as I cannot lift heavy items. I simply got told that they don't do it, it is up to us and it was on there hire contract form. Except that it is written on the back of the contract and my partner was not told to turn the contract over and read the conditions. At the bottom of the page it also reads 1/1 in the bottom left hand corner so to anybody familiar with computers, faxes etc that means it is only a one page document. I found the ladies in the shop to be very rude and unhelpful. Especially as I am in the retail industry myself and am currently a Warehouse Manager at a Retravision store I could never dream about telling a customer to go and load their fridge in the car as I am not required to help because it says so on the back of a piece of paper somewehere. I'm sure my customer would feel fantastic about it...
The other thing I thought about was what if it was a elderly lady or gentleman would they of helped them or made them load 60 chairs into a trailer by themselves...
The sad thing is they didn't even offer us a trolley so we carried every stack from one side of the carpark to the other by hand!! It just makes you so mad that these people already have your money and there is nothing I can do about it.
I wanted to complain directly to the PARTY PLUS owners to let them know what this franchise of theirs is doing to the name of their company but there is no contact details or a complaint section. (Maybe that says something there) The only thing I know how to do know is tell the 100 people that came to my party to never deal with this company again and my partner and I will tell our places of work and I'm sure their friends will tell their friends and so -on.
Is their anything else I can do I feel cheated???
