On Saturday May 5th 2007 I had some continuous concrete curbing laid in my front yard. About 10 minutes after the contractor left a meter reader stepped on it and wrecked it . The repair bill is $280.00, 10 minutes before that it cost me $280.00 to have it laid. Which I cannot afford.
The meter readers attitude to this was, "well bad luck mate".
To further add insult to injury meter reader called the police when I insisted that he give me his name. The police came and agreed with my reaction fully based on the meter readers attitude. They agreed to the point that the officer gave me his name and phone number just in case I have any problems. It makes me wonder why walking on someones garden is ok, when they can easily access my meter by walking up my driveway
