I have recently signed up with AMI over the phone with their SYD office, it was just verbal,lucky for me. The guy wa pushy, ringing me up every day, asking to sign up. For my luck I don\'t have a credit card anymore, so I manged to convince him to take $200 upfront. It took nearly three wks to get the medication, and on the first day I took the tablets, I was drowsy, numbed, and couldn\'t sleep..had dry mouth. The following two days, the samething, my sleep was getting worse, I went the entire night without sleeping, had to take day off work. I felt like I was on high drug, and it took over a day to be normal. I still don\'t sleep well. I called my bank right away and cancelled the direct debit (put a block on it). I did some research on the medi, it was anti depressant for people with bipolar, it\'s even prescribed for dogs with behavioural disorder. I am trying to get my $250 back, and I am so GLAD that\'s all I paid. This Company is dodgy, with bunch of crooks, their doctors are even worse.

I will never deal with these bastards again. Folks stay away form AMI.

I am a female and i went to ami in st kilda rd st kilda. When i was there you go in a waiting room with all other people.(Very uncomfortable) Then i was called to see a nurse and she asked me questioms and took my blood pressure. Then the nurse said "I will call the doctor he his in the head office in sydney" I got on the phone and he was telling me about the process. I was thinking this is not right something is wrong! The nurse then sent me in the waiting room again and said a lady Maria will be calling you in a few minutes. The lady Maria called me in her office and was explaining the money and saying it was x amount but she will give me a discount.She also told me" I could stop it at anytime i wanted". I have no money and she said "how much can you afford" I said"$500 but I will have to go away and think about it as i am on the pension" The lady maria said to me "Whats there to think about we will fix this problem" I kept asking if i could cancel at anytime 3 times i asked her and she said yes. She handed me the contract i signed it and i was reading the contract and she said "I need to copy it". She proceeded to copy it and put it in a envolope and handed to me. I feel she done this so i could not read it there and then. It was all happening soooo fast. I knew this was not right and i was getting pressured into it. I rang them on saturday morning they said" Someone will call me on Monday" They didnt call, so i called them 3 times and got no where so i went down there on Monday (So this is all from Friday to Monday so far) The lady said at the front desk Maria will contact you in 1 to 3 days. I want this resolved asap.. This place is all a scam i have not recieved in medication as yet and i dont want it. I just want to cancel this stupid thing. I will be taking this to the ombudsam.

After trying the nasal spray from AMI lets just say that not only did it not work but I had to see my regular doctor to treat the severe infections it caused.

Swelling, bleeding, hardened mucosa, skin turns to stone and cracks, headaches, nausea etc... It takes three full weeks to get over it.

At the consultation you are asked general questions about your health by their nurse and you are given the excuse that the "Doctor" is not available at the moment but we can call him on the phone to confirm your prescribed medication.

Next its all about the finance!!!!!!!!
At a cost of around $5000 over an 18 month period and that includes the discount. I gave them a deposit of $500 but they actually tried to get $2000 from me. With the psychological spin they put on getting you to agree, it all sounds reasonable at the time. You just want to be cured and they give you a guarantee that it will.

Then the fun begins!!!

Trying to cancel the agreement they have you on is IMPOSSIBLE without taking them to court. No matter what you do or say all you will ever hear is a forceful "You are under a legally binding contract" and we will not cancel it and you will be charged the full amount. I even gave them a letter from my doctor saying their medication was harmful to me. They did not care one bit. I have called them many times and tried all I can to be reasonable with with no success. They just try to give you more medication which can range up to self injecting.

I am now in the middle of taking them to court through the help of Consumer Affairs and I have now found out HUNDREDS before me have done the same. My bank account also needed to be canceled so they can not access my money.

STAY AWAY FROM ADVANCED MEDICAL INSTITUTE !!!!!!!!!!!!

when I first contacted AMI by email I was contacted by an salesperson (hans),also supposedly diagnosed by an Doctor over the phone,then back to the salesperson (hans) who told me the initial payment of $350.00 was for an 3 monyhs supply plus an bonus 1 month supply,he also told me that there was an refund policy in place if I did not wish to continue,there was no talk of an ongoing couse of 12 months at $168.00 per month,when trying to contact somebody that cares at AMI I have had extreme difficulty no one wants to know,the product Caverject for me ( possibly other people as well) extreme pain and discomfort,there pricing is way over the top about twice the normal price for the product,they say in the brochure that if one treatment is not satisfactory you have to try the rest of the products before you can cancel the program,well with my condition the only one that seemed to be OK for (they told me) because of Heart Condition and Medication I am taking,if there are other people out there with the same compalint please let me know,I intend to take this matter further,I can be contacted by email at banshee@optusnet.com.au Thank You David

l would like all men out there to know that the AMI are scamers. They make you feel more less of a man then you already feel. wanting so badly to fix my situation l was taken for a ride costing me 3000. And now knowing that they gave me an anti depressents that l could have got from my local doctor. they where pushy and very unhelpfull when l called them about being unsatisfied, saying they have other this for me to try. [spend more money] they mean. l dont really know what to do as my 2year contract says l have to try all thier other options. l dont want to do this with advise from my local doctor. If there is some way of helping me, any information or other complaints
