My issue happened on the 24/8/07 at the Marulan BP Truckstop. My Wife and I stopped a little before 10am to get petrol. While I filled up, my wife went to the restuarant, 50 or so meters away to get some breakfast.
I moved the car to the carpark and arrived shortly after in the restaurant (10am), to find my wife with a chocolate milk in hand. She said that my EFTPOS card wouldnt work in their machine so she used hers.
We waited, and waited, and waited. At 10:15 we asked the Jr staff member
"how long"?
she said "coming now"
We manuvered to get a veiw of the kitchen to see the cook slowly wrapping buns. We assumed that they were ours, as we ordered 2 Bacon and egg rolls. The cook, with 5 half wrapped buns propped under her breasts strolled out and put them in the hot-box. My wife then asked the senior staff member how much longer do we have to wait, as a bus load of people walked through the doors and into the line.
The response was answered with a huge sigh "OH WHAT DID YOU WANT" (WITH ATTITUDE). My wife repeated the order, but meanwhile bacon had hit the grill for the bus travelers. While the senior staff member tended to the order I looked at the docket to see when the order was placed. It was placed at 9:57am, and it was now 10:22. My wife swapped the milk because it had gone hot, and I watched the senior member turn 2 pieces of bacon that the cook had put on the grill not 30 seconds before. While she spread the buns that had been sitting there for 20 minutes, the other side of the bacon supposedly cooked. It was now 10:24am, and the 2 bacon and egg rolls were cooked, wrapped and handed to us by the Jr who didnt even appolagise for the wait. All we got was a "There you go".
When we opened the rolls the bacon was white and uncooked.
I guess that if I were a passenger on the bus, and arrived 15 minutes later we would have gotten some sort of customer service. But I guess paying $15 something for our items wasnt good enough for them. WHAT WE GOT FOR $15 WAS
ATTITUDE, A LONG WAIT, RAW FOOD AND RIPPED OFF.
