For the last few months my gym, which was formerly filthy, had been cleaned in the early morning, between about 6 -7am, a busy time at the gym. While I want a clean gym, I do not appreciate wading through a sopping wet locker room floor to get from the shower to my locker, nor do I especially want to hear a vacuum cleaner roaring so loud and close that I can't hear the music playing in the background.

Today, at about 7:45am, the cleaning woman, along with the owner, Chip something came into the locker room while I was getting ready. Fortunately I was dressed, just drying my hair. After looking at a toilet, he was about to leave when I took the opportunity to ask him especially nicely if he could have the cleaners vacuum later at night (it's a 24 hr gym) since I was unable to hear the music when they vacuum .

Chip, is NOTORIOUS for his rude, beligerent and downright unfriendly way with members and he did not disappoint. He stared at me and quickly said "No, this is open 24 hrs." and then said sarcastically, "Aren't you the one who complained about 6 months ago about it being dirty?" I was, but there were several other people with me who also complained. I answered, that I just wanted to see if he could vacuum and clean later at night when there were less people. "Oh, so you want other people to be inconvenienced, not you? No they can't clean later."

When did a request by a paying member, a customer become such a complete and utter aggravation? And what is it about the owner of an establishment which deals with the public that makes him think he can talk to anyone like that?

Ironically, my gym dues were paid electronically today for the month. Maybe for the last time. Looking for a new gym seems to be in order.
