Capri Cafebar Fotitude Valley ( Queensland, Australia)

Not very friendly service today from a VERY rude waiter and owner Decided to try Capri today. Invited 5 customers from a local business along and we walked up to Capri to ask for a table. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but after at least 5 mins of standing in the hot sun while they slowly pushed some tables together,It didn't look liek we were going to get a table. We decided that it was very likely that we were going to be waiting a long time for service as all other occupied tables had no food or drink on them although the restaurant had been open for at least 40 mins or more. We agreed that we should move on to the restaurant next door. We walked off, but one of our party waited for the waiter and told him that we had decided to go because we had limited time. The waiter promptly called my invited customer "a p****". He glared at us each time he walked past while we ate next door. It was so upsetting that I decided to make sure other people are aware of this type of extremely rude and uncalled for behaviour. The owner of the restaurant when approached went as far as to call my customer's employer (his shirt was mongrammed with company logo) to tell him that we were "banned". Very, very childish stuff. If this is the way they treat customers I would be VERY VERY careful about going there ever again..I guess we won't because we were 'banned"! As a business owner myself I can imagine some days are better than others, but in my business travels across Asia-Pacific I have never seen such an incident. I think restaurant goers need to be aware of this type of behaviour so I felt so strongly I needed to send this
