I have been buying car batteries from Challenge batteries (labelled Power Breed )since 1983.
June 05 I bought a new battery. Since then it has let me down a few times.
Jan '06, I fully charged battery on a saturday, gave it a top up charge on sunday, gave it a top up charge on Tuesday 7-9am, fitted it in my car and started the car at 9.20am and went for adrive. At 4.00pm same day the battery is flat again (obviouslynot holding charge) - returned flat battery to Challenge at 4.45pm only to be told that the battery was flat (surprise, surprise ). The staff and manager argued with me and were rude and would not take my word that the battery was an ongoing problem and would not change it until tested ( what do I do meanwhile ? ) I left the battery with Challenge and was abused when I asked for a receipt for it !
Next morning I received a call from Challenge to say that the battery was no good and I could come and pick up an exchange battery.
Problem then solved BUT look at the inconvenience and my running around and lack of battery ( you know what it is like when you have a flat battery ) and the ABUSE I had to endure ----------- 23 years as a customer has ended ! You only find out how good a company is when you have a problem.
