I bought a Noontec media player for my daughter from City Software and when it stopped working she returned it for repair, under the 12 month warranty agreement.
She was assured they would call her when it was either repaired or replaced by the manufacturer, but never called . She called in and picked up the player and when she tried it at home it still did not work. After more phone calls she again returned it, again with the promise that she would be called when it was ready.
Another month and many phone calls later they advised her that it could not be replaced as they could not get that model but could upgrade to a newer model for an extra $75. They would not give a refund as it was not policy.
I have now become involved and rang City Software and spoke to a girl who can not tell me any thing other than they are trying to help me by selling me a higher priced item to replace the broken original.
I was promised the manager would call, I fell for that one, and when I rang to try and speak to the manager, the same girl gave me the same tired old "we are trying to help you by taking more money off you for suspect product".
I can't trust them to sell a decent replacement as the first was faulty.
So I would advise anyone to be very careful in dealing with this company, the money involved is not a fortune, except to my student daughter, but the inconvenience and the lack of customer care smells of an unethical company that is not to be trusted.
Sold me a TV, sent me a second hand unit. Unbelievable lies from all the staff I spoke to. Disgusting service, do not deal with this company!

I purchased a Netgear PS121 printer switch from City Software. The switch would not work with my printer.
Before I bought the printer I checked on the Netgear Australian website. Nowhere in the product specifications did it say it was not compatible with any printers.
I rang Netgear Support who told me it is NOT compatible with my printer. They refered me to their Global support website that listed compatible and non compatible printers.
Neither City Software nor Netgear will refund or exchange the item because they consider it not faulty. I argued with them that it is not fit to do the function it was shown to do. Before I purchased the equipment I looked on the Australian website and nowhere could I find a compatable printer list.
