Clive Peters ( Queensland, Australia)

2008-11-30

We bought a Conia air conditioner on the advise of the Clive Peters salesman, they arranged for instalation. The installers installed the unit and then advised us that the unit was out of gas. The unit did not work. We called the salesman from Clive Peters who advised us that we were just unlucky. It happens to 1 in 100 units. The seals dry out and the gas leaks out and that the unit just needed to be regassed. 2 weeks later after dozens of phone calls they sent a technician out who confirmed that it was indeed out of gas but that there were no seals in that type of unit. It was out of gas because it was defective and he said it should be replaced. 2 weeks later the salesman advised that they were going to send another technician out to confirm the unit was broken and if so that they would replace it. 2 more weeks later and still nothing. The phone calls have stopped. The salesman told us he has passed it on the head office and there is nothing more he can do. And now its getting really hot. So much for the Clive Peters moto "sooooo easy".
