I live in an older, secluded neighborhood, however my property has a utility easement running through it. (The utility pole is 30 feet from my front door.) On that line is a Comcast line which services a newer neighborhood behind me. This line was installed within the last couple years - we even granted Comcast access to our driveway to facilitate the installation and didn't complain when their trucks tore up our front yard during the installation process.
For years now we have been requesting a site survey to request service to our house. They continually say they will send someone out (which they never do) and then follow-up saying it will be too expensive to service our house as the line would need to be run across a major highway. They continually refuse to listen to our explanation of where the line is and refuse to send a human out to actually survey the site - they continue to rely on outdated maps and other information.
For these reasons - COMCAST customer service SUCKS!
