We installed a Daikin reverse cycle inverter air con in May 08. The heating worked fine but when we changed to cooling in December the unit did not work. We contacted the installer and Daikin - I was hand balled between the two. Daikin finally contacted me and said that a technician wouldn't be able to come until 5th Jan which meant nearly a month wait - over Christmas with no air con. The technician then replaced a faulty part which lasted only a week. I then contacted Daikin so that the technician could come back but was told I had to go back to the installer, who would then contact daikin. The technician then came out on the 28th January and said that the same part was at fault but the part was unavailable and had to come from NSW. I was then told that the repairs wouldn't be done until 18th Feb. We have now been without an air con for over 2 months - Daikin will not return my phone calls or emails regarding this. Bad product and terrible service.
