DO NOT USE DISCOUNT FREIGHT, GLOBAL POSTAL SOLUTIONS OR ANY OTHER COMPANY WITH ANYTHING TO DO WITH PHIL ABADEE OR HIS EMPLOYEES JAMIE OR JULIE

We have the same story as everyone else.

We arranged for Discount Freight to collect 10 boxes containing our personal belongings and transport them by sea to London, UK. We were travelling for 4 months so the time frame of 3 - 4 months fitted. The boxes contain most of our clothes, handbags, shoes, bedding, CD's, DVD's, books, laptop and some important documents.

As some other people have said, Phil Abadee was so helpful and friendly when he was arranging our business and taking our money. Don't be fooled by this!

Our boxes were meant to arrive, at the latest, by 1 September 2009. Prior to this we tried to make enquiries online and via telephone, with no response. Eventually we arranged for a friend in Sydney to contact the company and she was told that they did not respond because we did not comply with their formal enquiry procedure. They did not at any stage reply to our email to say that.

We completed the online form, which was pages long, and eventually got a response from Julie saying that our boxes would arrive by 24 September 2009 (3 weeks overdue). We were starting work and had no work clothes so were quite relieved to hear that they were coming.

24 September 2009 came and went. Again, we could not raise a response via email or telephone. Whenever we ring the number it goes to an answerwing service. No calls are returned.

Eventually we made contact and have now been told two more times that our boxes "will be delivered next week". On the first occasion they said they had been delayed in customs for 2 weeks, on the next occasion they told us our boxes were in Bristol. We tried to telephone the Bristol number and the call was diverted to an answering service in Australia - right back where we started.

We saw that someone recommended lodging a complaint through the Consumer Trader & Tenancy Tribunal in Sydney which is what we are in the process of doing.

We have since discovered all the other complaints and are obviously now concerned that our boxes will never turn up.

Discount Freight has consistently failed to return telephone calls and respond to emails and consistently provided false/misleading information, that is, lied to us about where our boxes are. It has now been nearly 6 months since our boxes were collected and we are still waiting.

If anyone has updates to their complaints since they posted them, can they update their entries so we can all see how everyone else is going? And let us know how they went with CTTT proceedings (progress and outcome)?
