There was an advertisement placed in the Canberra Times on 7Aug04 “The Winning Combination – Domayne & LG Packs”. It stated in this advertisement ‘With the Big Games less than a month away now is the time to upgrade your home entertainment system so that it is all set up by the time the opening ceremony starts.’ Obviously this was great advertising because I proceeded to go in to Domayne (the day it was advertised) and purchased one of those packages. I was told when purchasing the package, that the television in the package was not available that day however; it should be available within a week. On that advice I paid in full for the package which included the 76cm Television (RT32FZ60RB). Since purchasing this package I have phoned Domanyne on five separate occasions and have gone into the store only to be told by the manager that the LG sales representative is “stuffing them around”. I don’t believe it is any of my concern what dealings the store has with their sales representatives only what solution can be offered to me. I was offered and inferior brand/product (with no money back) as a replacement or I could pay another $800 for a different 76cm LG television. My concern is I purchased an LG 76cm television to watch the Olympics (as was advertised) and now that I have paid my money I am told that I will not be receiving my television until after the Olympics has concluded. I have taken my complaint to both Domayne and LG hoping they might be able to offer me some solution and nothing has been done. This is a case of false advertising and extremly poor customer service. The company still has my money and I still have no televsion. Doesn't quite seem right to me.
