Ken Morgan (Brighton, Victoria, Australia)

2008-01-26

I bought a Dec 1999 model Kia Carnival from Ken Morgan in October 2007. The mileage is approx 110,000 km. The salesman convinced me that the known engine problems with the Kia Carnival is only found on the automatic version and since this is a manual, the problem does not exists.

In mid November 2007, there was a total engine failure. Ken Morgan wanted me to trade the car back AS IT IS (scrap value) for another Kia. What a bunch of crooks. They will try to rip you off as much as possible and even will kick you when you're down.

The car apparently will be repaired by Feb 2008. 3 months for an engine replacement is ridiculous. Apparently the car is still not even close to be ready at the end of Jan 2008. That speaks for their service department.

KIA AUSTRALIA doesn't want to know you and said that it is the dealer's problem. They had known that a very high percentage of the Kia Carnival suffered from engine problems but did not recall them. Instead, they allowed thousands of consumers to suffer the inconvenience of not having a car and all the hassles associated with getting this lemon fixed. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING THAT IS ASSOCIATED WITH KIA. NOT EVEN A RAFFLE TICKET WITH KIA AS PRICE.

NEVER BUY A CAR FROM KEN MORGAN, 913 NEPEAN HWY, VIC 3189. Their salesman will tell you lies and try to rip you off as much as possible and their service department is totally useless.
