All, This was the worse thing I have experienced in all my years of travel throughout Australia. I personally was accused of destroying the common areas, computers and generally disturbing guest throughout the hotel. I was called at 10:45pm and thrown out of the hotel even before I had been question and even though I was not in the area. I was physically threatened by the management of this hotel and consideration was given to my welfare. This including threatening to damage my car which was parked in the hotel car park. Once threatened, I approached the Police within the area who stated there is nothing they cold do as this was a civil matter. I was advised that although my car could be damaged that I was not in a state to drive it and I had to accept the risk. It was also stated that if found in my car I would be charged even if asleep. This left me physically ill and I was stuck in Canberra with no where to sleep, unable to move my car and feeling very unsafe. The hotel had a "Duty of Care" to ensure I was safe and my belongings were secure but only made further treats. I have never had accusations of this nature ever before and it has left me unwilling to not only use this hotel chain but also returning to Canberra. I have used this hotel chain many times, personally and with elite sporting teams without any issues but this reaction was unnecessary and without any proof. Verbally I have advised many friends and business about not using this chain and feel so strongly that I want to share this poor experience. There is plenty of quality accommodation in Canberra without using a place where you can not feel safe and may exercise the right to through you out at any time.
