I have been a member of the rac for 7 years.I am not boasting,but i am a perfectly good female driver with ZERO bad driving records, ZERO speeding fines during my 12 years of driving.I have 100% no claim bonus each year.in march this year,we got run over by a male driver.although he did leave us his details,he was not very helpful at all.He didnt report it to his insurance company and we had to do everything ourselves.i spent hours going to panel beaters,calling rac making a claim etc which i hate.funny thing is they sort of acknowledge its not my fault therefore i do not have to pay excess for the claim.however,i have come to know that because they still looking for this guy, they have reduce my no claim bonus!so does this means that if they still not able to catch this person by 2009,i would have to pay higher premiums?does this means i have to fork extra because they failed to find him?absolute nonsense.so you think that with your loyalty and years of clean records of driving and zero claims,the insurance company would consider that in this situation?THINK AGAIN.rac didnt even tell us that we have to pay extra to get temp car while our car is in the workshop.our current premium does not cover that;it only covers for theft.AND YOU THINK THAT THEY WOULD CALL UP THE OTHER PARTY'S INS COMPANY FOR YOU?IN YOUR DREAMS.they told me to do it myself.SO MUCH FOR LOYALTY.and since then,i have switched;as long as its not rac,im happy.
