My daughter purchased a pair of joggers at Sportsco Dubbo(orana mall) when she arrived home, tried them on in the lounge room, she said mum these shoes do not support the arch of my foot, and i cant use them.
"No worries" i said to her, i will take them back to the store, a 75km drive to the store, and request a refund . When i got to the store and stated to Casey the guy at the checkout that "these shoes dont support my daughters arch and she would appreciate a refund". He said"Do you mean she has changed her mind?" i said "because they dont support her arches!" he insisited that that was her problem, because she had changed her mind according to him! and therefore he would not give a refund. Then he prattled on about the Refund policy is only for faulty goods, or if it the product doesnt do what its supposed to do. Well then it doesnt support her arch so It doesnt do whats its supposed to do!!!!! He said bad luck she changed her mind. I was disgusted in his attitude!! he gave me a one hundred dollar(shoe value) credit voucher and i said she doesnt live here ( approx 500 kms away)and likely not to be back in the store. A credit is no good to her!! guess what BAD LUCK again. I have checked fairtrading and she is indeed entitled to a refund as the shoes dont do what they are supposed to....DONT EVER SHOP AT SPORTS CO... THE SALES AND SERVICE IS DISGUSTING. AND ON PRINCIPLE I WILLtTELL EVERYONE I KNOW AND I WONT EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND I WILL BE TAKING THIS FURTHER......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

During the first week of April school holidays my husband, son, our 2 grandchildren and myself went to Sportsco Wollongong Store to buy soccer boots for the kids. We were served by a pleasant young man who was most helpful (Russ,Russel?). We purchased a cheaper pair for my grandaughter (black and white) and another pair from a promotion range worth $180 for my grandson in Aussie bright, shiny yellow and green. We asked was there black or white as we thought the coloured boots looked a bit bright, as my son and his son (10 yrs) are quite shy and conservative. The young man checked thoroughly for us and said there were none in black and/or white that were exactly the same quality (my grandson sometimes has problems with his feet and needed good comfort). So we decided to take the yellow and green good quality $180 boots. We conversed with the young man about my son and kids coming from Cooma, and he assured us that if anything proved unsatisfactory we could get exchange or refund (within 2 weeks). When my son went back to Cooma a day later, he found out that the soccer boots needed to be black and/or white for the Christian school team. So, he sent the boots back to us in Wollongong, express delivery so that we could go and exchange unworn, as soon as possible for a refund because we had been told earlier that they were the only suitable ones left in his size (which was the truth). We received the boots back from Cooma 4 days later and my husband and I took them back into Wollongong to get a refund. This is when the trouble began. We were served by a very slick young man named Peter (who was the manager, but we were not aware of that). He was very smooth as we explained the situation to him and our impression was that he was not that interested, he just wanted a sale, because he all too quickly said to us that he could exchange them, because he had black and white ones out the back. We told him the other young man from whom we bought the yellow and green boots, thoroughly checked for us, but Peter said " oh we get them in every two days". He immediately put the returned boots aside and went out back and returned with a black and white pair of boots. Immediately they did not look quite right to me. I asked him nicely regarding every detail, if they were identical, he reassured us very positively and too quickly. I said that they looked smaller, he said they were exactly the same size as the others, same make, same materials etc. etc. I pointed out the different size on the box of the new black and white ones. The other boots were out of sight by then for comparison. I still had a feeling that something was not right (my husband and I are 63 and have had experience with many different people). So then I decided to phone my son in Cooma on my mobile and get Peter to talk to him because my son knows about soccer boots much better than we do. Peter reaffirmed to my son over the phone that they were exactly the same boot in every respect, but black and white in colour (the colour we needed). So we exchanged the boots and left the store. Just outside the store we both still felt uneasy about the size and appearance so my husband took them back in and asked Peter again (because we did not want to have to post them back and forth again, the cost of postage was already $10.50). Peter, dismissively smiling and smug told us yet again that they were exactly the same boots. We then posted the boots back to Cooma (another $10'50). A day later we received a phone call from my son to tell us that the soccer boots had arrived but were not the same boot at all. They were not only the wrong size ( a size smaller!) but were not the same boot as the others, not the same inside with their support structure, not kangaroo skin; they were a cheaper boot, actually similar to the ones we had bought (from the same store from Russ) for our grandaughter, $80 cheaper than the ones we bought for our grandson. Not only t

About 6 weeks ago I bought Puma runners for my 6 year old son at the SPORTSCO shop at Southland. My son wore the shoes for 5 days and then I discovered mould built up under innersole of the shoes. I returned the shoes to the shop, asking for another pair or refund. The shop manager Mick Pratt said that he can only send back the shoes to manufacturer to assess it and I have to wait for the result. 20 days later I was informed that the Puma manufacturer has given me a replacement of new shoes. I have picked up the shoes 17 of July 2007. Because the manager again was very unpleasant to me, I did not check the shoes throughout, instead went back home and did the check at home. It turned out, that under innersole were black spots, and that meant for another 5 days of wearing the shoes, the mould will appear again. Today, 24 of July 2007 I and my two kids (4&6 year olds) came back to the store with the shoes asking for another pair, different brand of shoes. I believed it should not be a problem, because we have brand new pair of Puma shoes. But the manager Mick Pratt told me, that he is not going replace the shoes, he said, he did me a favor taking the faulty shoes, he said he is not going to do anything for me…ect. I ask him to listen to me for a while and he stopped taking. But when I said few word he interrupted me and said “look at me, look at me when you are talking to me, do not look around, but look at me” (sic!) Then I said that I came here with my kids, and I have to watch my kids even when I am talking to someone. I said that he is incredibly rude, trying to admonish me, and then I went out from that shop. That is my story.
