This morning myself and partner were on time for check-in but Skywest were understaffed (we were told on phone later). Hence we only got to counter 15min before take-off. We were then informed that we did not have a booking. I gave the employee our booking numbers, and she said these were for different dates. She then told me that my booking number was correct, and that I could get on the flight, but my partners was for two days earlier and as he had missed the flight, would have to make another booking. As we both had to work in 2hrs, we gave her our credit card and asked to book a seat. She told us we would have to ring reservations. She was very rude and was obviously feeling pressure as there was a line behind us. She would not book us a ticket and told us the only way to do so was to phone reservations - what if we didn't have a mobile?! And why don't they have facilities at the airport to book tickets?? My partner was not able to ring and reserve a seat in the 5min remaining before take-off, so I left without him. I then ran into the departure lounge, where a girl on the door said "where have you been - we are ready for take off". I informed her I had been at the check in counter as they had made a mistake with my booking and I had just run through the customs check counter. She was obviously displeased and did not care I had been with a colleague of hers. IT WAS NOT MY FAULT I WAS LATE! There were 3 spare seats on the plane, one next to me! My partner was not able to get on a flight for 3hrs, and paid $270 for the one hour flight! Our bookings were made at the same time over the phone. We ordered two flights from Geraldton to Perth at 8:45am, and two returning on the Monday at 7am. But my partners return flight was scheduled at 7am on the same Saturday morning (before departure!). We have informed them it is physically impossible to have this happen. They have told us that we made the booking, we did not fly, and will lose money on that ticket (in addition to the $270 paid to get home!!). We have the booking agent number, so Skywest should be able to find this person and ask if they would allow such a booking to occur. If they do not give us our money back we will write to the newspaper and lodge a formal complaint.
Flew from Geraldton to Perth on board a Skywest flight. Usually when I fly the Flight Attendant talks to me about seatbelts, exits blah blah. This did not occur for some reason and I began to feel scared.Prior to that during the flight I became quite unwell. I pressed my call bell for a water the Flight Attendant rudely replied "We dont have any more water" and walked off. None of the Flight attendants smiled and I noticed they were very rude to the other passengers. Unfortunately, due to my leg being broken I needed a wheelchair when we got to Perth. After waiting about 10 minutes after everyone had gotten off, the wheelchair finally arrived. The staff were very rude to me and made me feel as if I was annoying them.
