This store sells entertainment appliances, fridges and other electronics for reduced prices and claim that the items are reduced due to "minor cosmetic damage" eg scratches, dents etc. Nothing I have ever bought from this store has ever worked! Most recently, I bought an LG DVD recorder for $250. I got it home, set it all up and spent ages trying to figure out how to work it before I realised the remote control did not work. So back to the store it went. Then after hours of going through the instruction manual and weeks of attempting to record my favourite TV shows without success, I phoned their technical support centre and explained the problems I was having and was told by the technician that it sounded like there was something wrong with the machine and to take it back to where I bought it from. The manager at this store was so off-hand by the way he said it was "as simple as bringing the recorder back down to the store and they would send it away to the service centre for repair". He could not understand why I was cranky about having to bring it back into the store a second time - that the round trip to the store took me at least an hour each time, not to mention the time and inconvenience of continuously having to unhook and hook up my entire entertainment unit. And the fact that I'd paid good money to have my DVD recorder sit in a service centre or at home not working for a good 2-3 months. The manager at the store was unwilling to do anything at all, not even ring their service centre for me, he really didnt care and seemed to enjoy arguing with me over the phone. Very frustrating! Would never buy anything else there ever again!
