Sprint ( North Carolina, United States of America)

I purchased my Sprint phone on Monday, 05 May 2008. I should have received the rebate by Monday, 11 August 2008. I repeatedly submitted the rebate request and each time Sprint claimed the requested was never received. After submitting the request numerous times via mail, fax, and email with the company continuing to claim the request was never received I began filing rebate fraud complaints against Sprint in March 2009 and I still have not received a rebate check. Sprint has lied to me and the Better Business Bureau about this matter. This company has no intentions of sending the rebate check and that is fraud! As of Wednesday, 27 May 2009 I have filed a rebate fraud complaint with the following 41 agencies and will not stop until I receive my rebate check and three months free service for this blatant fraudulent behavior. When this is over, Sprint will wish they never heard of me and I will be a prepaid cellular user. 1. Ripoffreport (Wednesday, 18 March 2009) 2. Planetfeedback (Tuesday, 24 March 2009) 3. I purchased a new phone from Sprint on Aug 1st. I was told to call in at Sprint and they would start my service. I called and was told in 2 hours my service would be working. I called back and had to wait 1 hour to be connected to a person. He told me to hang up on my phone and I would have service. I did and no service. I was able to call customer service on my phone but nothing else. I was without phone service for 9 days, I tried many times to get the phone activated and had to wait a minimum a 30 minutes to get a customer service person. I had to go away without a phone. When I returned I brought my phone back to the Sprint store and they told me they would get it activated. Again I waited over an hour no service, I was told that they would get me service soon. I left and returned in 1 hour still no service. I said I was more than patient. I left and went to Alltel phone store. On my way into the store my cell phone rang and it was Sprint asking if I was satisfied with their service. I told them that I was on my way into Alltel for a new phone as I was still without service for 9 days, cancel my service. I sent a registered letter to Sprint to cancel my service and in a few weeks later I received a bill for 1 months service. I called Sprint again this time I was told that my contract was over in March and they could not do anything for me. I now have received another bill and have been very frustrated. My son called to cancel my service and he was told my contract expired in March and they could do nothing for him. My daughter in law tried to cancel my service and they would not do it for her. She was told I had to go to Cary NC in person to cancel my phone. I am a senior and this has been very difficult for me. Today I called sprint and again I had to wait for at least a half hour before I could speak to an agent then I was told he could not cancel it because some kind of new billing was going into effect and he could only cancel my service starting in Sept. I was very angry and insisted that my service must be canceled the 1st of August. He said he would put me to another person who would cancel my service. Again I waited at least 15 minutes. This person said he did not have the authority to cancel my service but his superior Amanda would take care of it. When she got on the phone I told her I was very upset and that I wanted my phone canceled as of Aug 1st. I also told her that I was going to put this on complaint and if I received another bill from them I would see my Attorney. She said she would cancel my service.
