My boyfriend and I were at the Walpole Mall on the evening of Friday Aug 15, 2008. I was on the bench outside of the doors of the bathroom area for the mall. I heard my boyfriend repramanding our middle child. As my boyfriend was coming through the doors I heard him say excuse me. I noticed a look on his face of disgust so I went over to see what the situation was. I could hear a older woman saying " You need to keep a better handle on your kids" I asked my boyfriend what was going on and he said the woman screamed at his son. So as he was telling me the security guard started yelling saying kids shouldn't be running etc. I told her there is no need for this to be taking place especially in front of the kids. She screamed at me and said it's always about the kids and began to mock me! I told her she was out of line and we understood what she was asking of our son. I also explained to her further my boyfriend had a handle on the situation before she interjected but we both understood why she would say something about it but we could not understand why she had to scream at our son like he is a dog. My boyfriend explained to me she did not ask our son to stop running she threw her hands around, screaming, and slamming the exit door etc. At this point we knew we were getting no where so we asked her for her name and point of contact she refused to give it to us. We explained we were going to look for her manager to tell that person what just happened and she followed us into the mall telling us good luck and causing another scene. She even entered a store screaming at the clerk telling her what had jsut happened. We were at a loss for words at this point we were so humiliated we just continued on our way. My boyfriend tried knocking on the security office door but there was no answer. My boyfriend then called the walpole police and they said to contact the actual security company. We got home and my boyfriend emailed a letter to the administror of the mall and the security company as well. It just so happens that my boyfriend used to be a supervisor for the security company the mall uses. My boyfriend emailed a copy to his point of contact at the security company as well. The following Monday my boyfriend called the account manager of the security dept at the mall and asked for the officer's name that was working Friday and the gentleman refused to give the information and continued to tell my boyfriend he was not going to take action on the situation and hung up on my boyfriend. So I called information and called the mall and asked to speak to the manager of the security department and who owns the mall. The woman on the other end asked why I needed the information and I started to explain the situation she interrupted me and began telling me the mall is under construction and this situation is not at the top of the list and how it was only a few days later etc. I was on my cell phone and expleained to her that the volume on the phone does not work well and I apologized if I seemed to be yelling. However my boyfriend could hear her screaming at me she then began to tell me she was the general manager of the mall. So I asked her what to do about the security department and she said take it up with the actual company there is nothing she can do. I said well you hired them or contracted them they work in a dept you manage how is this type of behavior acceptable and she said mam you are yelling not letting me finish etc. I realized she was not going to listen or try to resolve the issue what so ever so I asked for her point of contact and she said she does not have one. I stated you must have a boss or a supervisor that signs your paycheck I need their information and she refused to give it. She stated the security people were well within their rights to act the way they did etc. So at this point this is the 3rd person who was unprofessional and rude. I told her I would find out who her manager or company she works for is and let the
