I bought a property through these guys in Feb 06 and during the final inspection it was noticed the pump was missing from the pond, as the former owners were present I asked them about it and was told they had taken it to thier new home but would return it before settlement. I informed the real estate agent of this and was told he would get it for me. Upon moving into the house ( approx 2 weeks later ) there was still no sign of the pump and the pond had turned into a mosquito breeding pool of green waste. I once again talked to the real estate agent and asked what progress he had made with the pump, I was told he had talked to the former occupants and they had informed him that the pump had "blown up" he then informed me that he was organising another pump for me. I then began to contact the real estate once a fortnight to find out if he was making any progress, and was told on each occasion that I would have it shortly. After approximately two months of this I made my fortnightly call and asked where the pump was, to this the real estate agent asked "Didint you get it, I left it at your back door", I found this hard to believe as we live on a rural property and my wife, being heavily pregnant, hasn't ventured out much (not to mention my dog who doesn't let anyone near the house) But he was adament that it was there, I searched ,to no avail, and was told that someone must have pinched it but that was ok as he would organise another one. So once again I started my fortnightly phone calls. Finally I had a break through, after three and a half months I called and was told he had the pump in the back of his car and would deliver it the next day, he didn't show! I once again got on the phone and asked what was going on, only to be told by one of his work colleagues that he was on his day off. I explained the situation to this person and was told I would be contacted first thing the next morning, again nothing! I waited a week and then tried again, finally some success, the pump turned up while I was at work. On returning home I found the pump delivered was for a twenty centimetre water feature not a two metre x two metre pond, at a cost of around $18.00. That was it, I went down to his office on my next day off and asked him if he thought I was stupid and provided him with a calculation for the pond volume, which he knew already, and an estimation obtained from a pond specialist as to the size of the pump needed,1500 litres per hour minimum not 200. I was told that the guy at the shop where he purchased the pump had informed him that it would do the trick. After looking at the evidence he agreed to take back the pump and replace it with one that would do the job. That was a week ago and still no word, looks like its back to the phone calls! I will keep you updated on our progress.
