Sunday 27.11.2011: My coffee arrived with pink lip stick on the rim - Took it back and asked for a fresh coffee in a clean cup - That arrived with the same lip stick that has been partially wiped away - Took it back and watched while a fresh coffee in a clean cup was made - Took my complaint to the manager who said that he had watched while the 2nd. coffee was made in a clean cup - When I pointed out to him that that could only happen if the new cup hadn't been washed properly - If the staff are too lazy to wash the cups properly in the first instance, and then so dishonest and dirty to use the same cup again then it makes me shudder to think what their plates and bowls could be like!

The arib experiance has left us feeling somewhat devastated in regards to what it used to be.
Allways went their in the past but after the last visits, it will be the last.
We watched the waiters so called cleaning up with a filthy sponge on the bench tops then the floor, then proceeding to make coffee and prepare food . The shop was appalling.
Food was terrible and the apple crumble that was to die for is now absulutely rubbish.
My husband rides their on his Ducati and i often met him their, sad to say it wont happen at the Arab any more. standards have slipped big time!!!!!!!.

The Arab cafe Lorne is the absolutely worst cafe experience I've ever had.

Place wasn't full.
1 waiter trying hard, another waiter rushing around but doing nothing.
Got to finally order @ 10:30
Tepid coffee arrived @ 11:00
breakfast still hadn't arrived buy 11:30, gave up and left (after paying for the coffee).
Hopeless, absolutely hopeless.
(Seafood restaurant at the pier is fantastic.)

After spending a few days in Lorne over the easter break we walked over to the Arab cafe , we ordered dips and two coffee's .. the service was second rate !! the dips were served at room temp..... what the??, do they not have a fridge ??? and to top it all off the place was full of flies, flies on every table .. no wonder we were the only family in there.. we drank our coffee's didnt touch the dips and i walked over to the counter asked to pay for what i can only call a joke on a plate(food poisoning waiting to happen) i did even get a smile or thankyou .. do yourself a big favour people give this place a big miss !!!!
