Similar to other people complaints about Doscountfreights service, shipped 4 boxes from Melbourne to Sarajevo beginning of February, still no delivery and can not get in touch with anybody from the company, no way of tracking my delivery even though paid for Gold Service and should be able to track my delivery on the net.
DISCOUNT FREIGHT/GLOBAL POSTAL SOLUTIONS : On the 27th October 2008 we sent 2 boxes from Melbourne to the UK using Global Postal Solutions (now found out that they also go by Ozepost, discount freight, checkin baggage, budgetfreight, ezishipping..there are probably more). We sent them via seamail with an estimated delivery time of 3-4months, we are now 7months down the line and our boxes are nowhere to be seen. Having filled in the online enquiry form twice which they take up to 28days to reply to we still know nothing! We also attempted to claim compensation through their website, strangely the link didn't work so we have emailed the company to make a claim...(suprise suprise no response) We paid for gold service which meant that we should have been able to track our boxes as they made their way across - joke - whenever we have typed in our tracking code for our boxes it cannot be found on the system! Having tried to call the company only to get an answering service who is some woman with no people skills whatsoever and finding out nothing new, we contacted the NSW Office of Fair trading, they also failed to get in touch with the company...however the next day I received a generic email from Julie at GPS saying the that they had attempted to deliver the boxes but there was no one there, this was not possible. After pressing for more information she said she would get Head Office to contact me, that was nearly 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting. We started proceedings to take the company to Tribunal through OFT and contacted the ACCC, A Current Affair, Herald Sun, TNT magazine and the like - the more people researching this company the better.
UPDATE!!!
We finally received an email from Phil Abadee after several emails to him and his various companies, saying our boxes had been located and would be delivered within a week - didn't hold out much hope!! A week later nothing arrived - suprise! However the following week (June 09 - a mere 8months after sending the goods) our 2 boxes arrived in good condition, nothing opened etc. We have had no response to our request for compensation but at least we have our belongings back. It does appear that the boxes were sent from a Brsitol address so not really sure what game is being played by this company but my advice is to AVOID them at all costs!!
