On the 26th June 2009 I ordered 3 Items From sillyasstoys.com at a total cost of US$16.90 there was an instruction to contact the company by telephone to get a quote for postage but due to the fact that the Virginia USA is 12 hours behind Australia and this company does not open until 11:00am for me to call would have been after 11:00pm Western Australian Time. In The order notes I wrote "Please add postage to Credit card and inform me of amount" I believed a reasonable request. Nothing was heard from the company until 30th June 2009 when I received an email stating the following: Dear ******, We would like to inform you that your order 10632 placed on 6/26/2009 2:03:00 AM has been Cancelled. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Order Notes: Please add postage to Credit card and inform me of amount I replied with the following email:Sent: Monday, June 29, 2009 8:25 PM To: 'Sillyasstoys.com Order' Subject: RE: Order 10632 has been Cancelled For what reason has this order been cancelled? I have credit on my Credit Card so what is the problem? I purchase thousands of dollars from companies like yours per year and never have I had an order cancelled, You have already debited my Credit card and I have been charged for the exchange rate see below which went on to my credit card yesterday. 29/06/2009 26/06/2009 9413 SILLYASSTOYS.COM 804-282-1211 16.90 USD INCL CONVERSION FEE 0.63 AUD $21.64- Please explain yourselves! Either send the goods or refund me in full including the costs of conversion which is $21.64AU If the order was cancelled because you were out of stock of the items then you should not have debited my Credit Card until you had goods in stock or that you had contacted me which you have not done! I received this email in reply: Dear sir, Your order was cancelled and your account was credited AT THE SAME TIME!!!! Get rid of your lousy attitude first..... Now.... the reason...... ________________________________________ Shipping Method: International (---OUTSIDE U.S.A.---) IF YOU ARE FROM CANADA (OR ANY non-US COUNTRY) YOU MUST CALL 804-282-1919 FOR A PRICE QUOTE. You did not follow the instructions as to contact us BEFORE you place the order so that we could give you the correct postage for the items. It says it plainly as you place the order. We do not ever add to the amount of the final charge as it is policy to only let you handle your CC info. At this time, I would strongly suggest that , since you are already mad at us that you do your business with the companies that you have spent thousands of dollars with , namely anyone else.------Good day,sir! To which I replied back: How dare you be so rude, Maybe if you had sent an email stating that you could not add the postage to the credit card as it is done by so many companies I deal with this may have been avoided. For me to contact you, I have to stay up past 11:00pm to be able to call areas in the USA, why should I have to contact you by telephone and it cost me more money than the goods are worth? If you want peoples business from outside the USA then you need to be more flexible. If anybody has an attitude it is your lousy customer service and it is that reason you will lose business. Obviously you do not know the first and second rule of customer service. Rule 1. The Customer is always right Rule 2. If the Customer maybe wrong refer to Rule 1 Maybe you should contact the following Companies I deal with and learn their methods of customer service because I am constantly purchasing goods from these companies year after year. Now at no time have I been rude or arrogant, just a customer wanting good customer service but I received this Tirade back from the company and I think you will be shocked! Obviously you do not know the first and second rule of customer service..... Rule 1. WHEN IN ROME , DO LIKE THE ROMANS. Rule 2. DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU! RULE 3. STOP BEING AN ASSHOLE AND YOU WILL BE GIVEN SERVICE. The customer is not always right and we are a company for the USA not Australia….. there is a reason that you are down under. ….. you ARE needing to be. You are so arrogant and expect that you do not have to follow rules that are to avoid idiots like you from making problems. YOU could have written to see if we can do business with you , not us . Do you speak to your customers in the USA the same way? If you do then I feel very sorry for you and your customers, as you seem to have a problem. Yes I will take my business to somebody who is prepared to give me good customer service and I have already got the same goods that I ordered from you being sent at a lower price than yours without the hassle, the vilification of one’s country which I have not done to you and maybe you should understand What you have written. Rule 1. I am not in your country, I am in mine so it does not apply, Rule 2. Very Christian but doubt you are or you would not have gone to Rule 3 I can now see why you company name is what it is, Silly Ass, quite apt I think Please do not reply as your emails will be blocked in future Gooday and Goodbye AS YOU CAN SEE THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT VALUE ITS CUSTOMERS. IT'S OWNER/ MANAGER WHOEVER HE IS IS RUDE, BELIGERANT HAS NO RESPECT FOR OTHER COUNTRIES BY VILIFICATION AND MAYBE NO RESPECT FOR HIMSELF OR HIS EMPLOYEES, WHO KNOWS (I WOULD NOT WORK FOR HIM IF I FOUND OUT HOW HE TREATS CUSTOMERS IN THE USA OR OVERSEAS) I have been in the customer service industry 39 years and never have spoken to a customer such as this person has who sent these vile emails. In my opinion I would think very hard before considering to purchasing any thing from this company and person as there are better stores out there where you can get great customer service and sometimes its worth paying a little more for the items, luckily I did not have to.
